the unsung heroes of emerging company successes. These 
are the individuals who stand on the sidelines coaching the 
entrepreneurial team, offering advice, support and finance 
to help the new firm survive the turbulent months and 
years that it takes to reach critical mass, profitability and 
sustainability. This is a time of considerable uncertainty as
