Chart set-up

Chart Set-Up:
There are a number of elements to a stock chart that are key and immutable to the
success of our analysis. Our chart set up reflects that.
As a beginner or struggling trader, you only need to understand a few things and to
hold them close. Many traders like to layer a lot of conditions on their decision
making. It gives them comfort – I guess. The closer you can stay to the “meat of the
market”, the better off you will be.
I will repeat, your success will depend on following your process and capital
allocation rules. The more you freelance, the more likely you are to fail –
guaranteed.
On second thoughts, let’s hit pause for a moment and review a few terms. This field
is as rife with jargon as any. I have listed a few commonly used terms and their
meaning below.
Open: This is the starting point of the period you are looking at. If used generally, it
means the open of the trading day of the stock market: 9:30am eastern.
