Мать-одиночка Рейчел находится в процессе развода, и этот день у неё не задался. Она проспала и, отвозя сына в школу, попала в большую пробку, а из-за опоздания потеряла последнюю клиентку. Пытаясь сократить путь, Рейчел повздорила на дороге со случайным автомобилистом и после отказалась извиняться. Накануне этот мужчина уже совершил громкое преступление и теперь обещает устроить нахалке по-настоящему ужасный день.
